A graduate of Rollins College in Psychology, Alex has been a professional golfer since 2004, where he has competed in many of the major golf tours. Alex trained and the prestigious Welsh golf course Pyle and Kenfig. Alex moved to Asia in 2014 to head up the now Leadbetter in door academy as Head Professional in Bangkok, before moving to Hanoi, Vietnam to become the Director of Golf for Leadbetter Vietnam. He is Trackman certified, Harold Swash Putting certified, K-vest certified, Boditrak certified, and TPI certified. He has worked with top junior golfers and we are excited to have him here at IPGA.
James turned Professional in his home town of Buckinghamshire, England, and has over 15 years of experience golf coaching at all levels. Moving to Asia in 2009, James has been General Manager of the David Leadbetter Academy in Bangkok, and Director of Instruction for Mizuno Golf School in Malaysia. During his time in Asia, James has worked with Tour Professionals, National Team players, and with a passion for the short game, James specializes in elite junior development programs. James is also certified in Trackman, K-Vest and Golf Psychology. We are beyond excited to have Coach James join the IPGA Team.
Peter is a British PGA member and comes from Sheffield, England. He has worked overseas since 2004, working for world renowned coach Pete Cowen at Emirates Golf Club in Dubai and then in a position as Academy Director at Doha Golf Club, Qatar. Moving to Asia to take up a position at Pondok Indah GC in Jakarta jointly with the Academy and as an advisor to the Chairman of the Indonesia Golf Association on Junior Development. Peter has a passion for junior sport and completed a Postgraduate Diploma with the University of Birmingham in Sport Coaching, where his interests were directed towards participant development and other areas. Certifications in Golf Psychology, TPI Junior and TPI Golf Fitness, and hoping to complete his Masters in Sport Coaching one day! He is very excited to join the great team at IPGA and ASB.
Seve played college golf for Southern Utah University, and then graduated from Arizona State University. Seve’s passion for fitness and golf give him the ability to build programs that increase athletic performance, while reducing the risk for injury. Seve is a TPI Level 2 Fitness Professional, TPI Level 2 Golf Mechanic, TPI Level 2 Junior Coach, and K-Vest Level 3 Certified. Before moving to Thailand, Seve was the Fitness Coordinator at The Legacy Performance Center in Phoenix, Arizona and the strength and conditioning coach for the 2016 NCAA Division 2 National Champion South Mountain Cougar Team.
Best has been coaching golf for six years and is very excited to be apart of the IPGA team. He has an outstanding playing career and a love for junior golf. He has played on the Thailand Junior National Team from 1996 – 2000 as well as the Thailand National Team in 2000 – 01. As a playing professional, he placed first in the PGA Thailand Tour in 2014, Singha Challenge in 2012, and Thailand PGA Challenge in 2010. Best works extremely well junior golfers and is well liked by the IPGA students. He is very knowledgeable both on and off the golf course, and is a great asset to the IPGA team.
Pro Gress turned professional in 2011 has been coaching golf for the past 4 years and is very excited to be a part of the IPGA team. Pro Gress has an exceptional playing career and and enjoys coaching golfers of all abilities. He has played on the Thailand National Team from 2009 – 2010 and is currently an active member of the Thailand PGA. Pro Gress is very skilled both on and off the golf course, and is a great addition to the IPGA team.
Mr. Ken is full of energy and enthusiasm, which makes him an excellent manager of ASB’s Residential Learning Center. He likes to know all of the students personally and has a passion for the students. Mr. Ken has been teaching, training, and counseling for 12 years. He has a Master of Arts in English from the Naresuan University, as well as certified as a Mindfulness Instructor from the Willpower Institute of Thailand. Mr. Ken teaches mindfulness and does student counseling here at the American School of Bangkok.
